The Absaroka-Beartooth wilderness is unlike anything else you have ever experienced, and with that, so is its canyon experience. One could argue that the views are what make these canyons superb, and I would agree with them. The advanced canyoneer will not find extremely difficult or complex canyons here, but it is its location that is sobering. With valley walls over 7,000 in prominence, you will find few places that make you feel smaller.
