Lower Logan Creek

Is a non-technical canyon being recommended?! Yep. Ditch the harnesses. Logan Creek is an interesting little streambed on Glacier's bedrock. With a shorty wetsuit, you will find some fun slides, some pools, and small interesting slots to cool off in. It's a pretty creek in the heart of Glacier. No need to make a fuss about it. Go check it out. Or don’t, we aren’t your parents, and we sure aren’t your vacation advisers.

Getting there:

From the crowded area also known as West Glacier:

Immediately jump onto Going to the Sun Road (Glacier route 1 road) and follow it until you reach the first crossing over Logan Creek. There is a pull off on the right side of the road found at: 48.72476, -113.76466.

Here ya are!

The approach and fun part:

Walk up Logan creek from your parking spot. If the creek is flowing at the bridge there is too much water to enjoy the watercourse. Go do something else, you will die.

If there isn’t water under the bridge, hike up the creek bed for .7 miles. A creek will come in from your right. This is The Great Stage of Fools canyon, and it indicates the interesting part is about to start. Keep going up Logan creek. You’ll find some interesting bed rock, if you brought a shorty wetsuit, go play in the water, its neat. You’ll even find a small subway section.

Continue up the drainage until you’ve had enough. Then turn around.

The exit:

Walk down the creek bed back to your car.
